Intercultural Program in Israel: Coexistence in the Middle East - The Hebrew University of Jerusalem 2014

Through a series of academic field trips and encounters, Coexistence in the Middle East (CME) offers a unique, hands-on opportunity to experience the challenges and complexities of coexistence in Israel and to engage with different national, religious, and ideological groups that converge at this crossroads for humanity.

Thanks to your help and the collaboration of many academic institutions around the world, CME has been the most popular summer study abroad program at the Rothberg International School for two consecutive years. Last summer it hosted an incredible, diverse group of students, professionals, and diplomats from 6 continents who shared unique experiences.

Following this success, our upcoming summer program, from July 2-31, 2014, will be expanded into a 6-credit program that is comprised of the following two 3-credit courses:

  • Narratives and Realities: Inside the Israeli Palestinian Conflict
  • Israel and the Post-Arab Spring: An Interactive View of the New Middle East

A 12-day intensive session will be also offered from Dec. 28, 2014 - Jan. 8, 2014 for students, faculty members, diplomats, policy makers, and other professionals. For further information please refer to the website and 2014 brochure:
